Modern Day Celebrities...
...make me sick.
I wonder if any of my avid (HA!) readers have heard of Nikki Blonsky? If you haven't heard of her, you've definitely seen her - if you've seen the 2007 remake of the 1988 hit movie "Hairspray", that is. She was introduced into the glamorous world of Hollywood in the movie and I have to admit, she was a pretty good actress. I had high hopes for her (especially since she got to kiss Zac Efron...hehe). Unfortunately, she seems to be a big fan of actresses who destroy their careers (i.e. Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, ...).
A few months ago, there were reports of her getting into a fight with Bianca Golden (America's Next Top Model, another mindless show made up to waste our time) in an airport over a place to sit. I don't know about you, but that's just a bit below the bar for me...Nikki was saving seats in the waiting room for her rather large family and Bianca wanted to have them, so she an Nikki got into a fight an apparently, Nikki's father got in on it as well. He got sent to jail and Nikki got off.

Is it just me or are the young actresses taking a turn for the worse? Is the position cursed after your first A-list movie gets big? Is it some psychological trick of the mind that, if you're famous and everyone loves you, you can do no wrong? Do these people seriously think that they can just get away with anything they do? Or is it all just a big publicity stunt? "I'm not famous enough, I have to go do drugs and drink myself into a coma, so I can be like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan and be all over the news!"
It's stupid, juvenile and utterly annoying to see these people in news reports, day after day, bitching and moaning about how people are so fucking unfair to them. Don't they even remember what it was like when they weren't famous? Was it easier? Did they do stupid things? I don't think so. And you know why they didn't do them? Because they didn't want to be on the news. They didn't want people to laugh at them and their mistakes! But apparently, once you cross the line from normal person to diva, all morals go to hell and you have to make a complete fool out of yourself to get attention from the media. And it's a vicious circle because once you have the attention, you have to fight to keep the attention and you do more stupid things until your whole entire life is just on big huge screw up after the other.
But then you make an amazing recovery and you're the happy-go-lucky starlet again and everyone loves you and it's all just purified Hollywood joy and blah, blah, blah. Give me a break.
See? I can post! I haven't lost it!
